Huskiss is a pet café which opened in 2017 in Petaling Jaya. As the name suggests, the pets residing here are boisterous and adorable Siberian huskies, about half a dozen of them, together with a young Alaskan Malamute, not yet fully grown but already huge. Watch this video:

Customers book time slots in advance (see session timetable below) giving plenty of time to play with the dogs under supervision of the watchful staff.

The decor is minimalist with polished concrete flooring and counters and hard wearing leather sofas and bean bags. Although I have called it a pet café they do not actually sell any food or drinks which is probably sensible for hygiene reasons and to prevent customers from feeding the dogs with inappropriate tidbits. They do sell some merchandise such as T-shirts bearing their cute logo. 

I have mixed feelings about pet cafés in general. Siberian huskies are working dogs better suited to pulling sleds through the Arctic snows rather than remaining cooped up in a shophouse in tropical Malaysia but on the positive side these dogs seem very well looked after, very clean, playful and happy and they get plenty of fuss made over them by the constant stream of visitors. I just hope they get the chance to run outdoors from time to time as they are naturally energetic and athletic animals. 

Their thick coats are soft to touch and they do not smell. They are beautiful dogs and have been popularised in recent years by films such as Balto and TV series like Twilight Saga and Game of Thrones.

If your child in Malaysia has a craving for a husky puppy then better to bring them here to play instead as huskies can be very difficult and demanding pets.

Operating Hours & Admission Charges

Advance booking is recommended as space is limited. 

Time slots are 1.5 hours in duration with timings as follows:

Weekday Sessions (Closed on Tuesdays)

  • A. 1pm - 2.30pm
  • B. 3pm - 4.30pm
  • C. 7pm - 8.30pm

Weekend & Public Holiday Sessions

  • A. 12pm - 1.30pm
  • B. 1.30pm - 3pm
  • C. 3pm - 4.30pm
  • D. 6.30pm - 8pm
  • E. 8pm - 9.30pm

Timings may vary depending on the the dogs' energy levels.

Admission Fees

  • RM25 per person for 1.5 hours
